Manual – Milking Protocol Configuration
The Milking interface within IdeasFarm protocols allows you to set up a detailed milking plan for your herd, including schedules, duration, milking type, and resources used.
1️⃣ Main form fields

Number of milkings
- Indicates how many times per day the cattle will be milked.
- Options: 1, 2, 3, or 4 daily milkings.
- By selecting the number, fields will be enabled to enter the time for each milking.

Milking time
- Defines the exact time for each milking.

Example:
- Milking time 1: 05:00
- Milking time 2: 17:00

Milking duration
- Estimated duration of each milking session.
- Example: 01:00 (one hour).

Milking type
- Select the method used:

- Manual: milking performed by hand.
- Mechanical: milking using a mechanical system.

Number of stalls
- Number of stalls available for simultaneous milking.

Number of employees
- Personnel assigned to the milking process.
2️⃣ Practical example
Objective: Configure a protocol for 2 daily milkings, using a mechanical system.
- Number of milkings: 2
- Milking time 1: 05:00
- Milking time 2: 17:00
- Milking duration: 01:00
- Milking type: Mechanical
- Number of stalls: 8
- Number of employees: 2
📌 Result: It will be recorded that two mechanical milkings are done daily, at 5 a.m. and 5 p.m., lasting approximately 1 hour, using 8 stalls and 2 operators.
