User Guide – Soil Analysis Records in Pastures
The Soil Analysis module allows digitizing, organizing, and consulting the results of fertility studies for each pasture. This information is key for making technical decisions on fertilization, soil amendments, and production planning.
Main Screen
This view lists all analyses recorded for a pasture. Each row shows:
| Field |
Description |
| File |
Uploaded document with the analysis results (image or PDF). |
| Date |
Day the soil sampling or analysis was performed. |
| Cost |
Value associated with the study (if applicable, entered manually). |
Registering a New Analysis
Clicking “New” opens the form where the following fields are completed:
-
Analysis Date
Day the soil study was conducted. This data is fundamental to chronologically order records.
-
Analysis File
- You can attach a file in JPG, PNG, or PDF format.
- This allows centralizing technical information in IdeasFarm without relying on external folders.
-
Analysis Cost
Option to record the monetary value of the study. This cost integrates with the pasture's cost module, allowing calculation of real profitability.
Important Notes
- ✅ It is recommended to always upload the original laboratory file to ensure traceability.
- ✅ The history of soil analyses per pasture helps monitor fertility evolution and justify fertilizer applications.
- ✅ Together with fertilization records, the system provides a technical overview of nutrient extraction and replenishment.
Practical Usage Tips
- It is recommended to perform soil analyses at least once a year, ideally before planning large-scale fertilization.
- Use the analysis data together with cost reports to determine the most efficient fertilization investment.
- If the pasture is undergoing renovation or reseeding, prior analysis helps select the appropriate fertilizer and dose.
