User Guide – Pasture Sheet
The Pasture Sheet allows you to individually consult all productive, operational, and event-related data for each pasture. Depending on the pasture’s status (grazing, resting, seeding, etc.), the displayed information adjusts to provide specific indicators.
1. General Pasture Information
The top of the screen displays:
- Pasture code and name
- Area (ha)
- Usage type (grazing, silage, seeding, etc.)
- Current status (Grazing, Resting, Seeding, Fertilization, etc.)
- Forage indicator with available biomass (Kg DM/ha)
- Established productivity target for the pasture
2. Productive Indicators
Depending on the status, different values will be shown:
- Daily growth rate (Kg DM/ha/day)
- Harvest interval (average days between grazings)
- Productivity target and last recorded production
- Stocking rate (LU/ha)
- Days of growth since the last cut or grazing
- Estimated date of entry or exit
- Number of harvests in the year
- Difference from productivity target (Kg DM/ha)
These indicators help determine the optimal timing for pasture use.
3. Projected Production
A line chart shows the pasture’s growth curve, including:
- Green line → actual projected growth.
- Dashed line → established growth target.
- Markers → key dates (forage measurements, cuts, or grazings).
This helps visualize whether the pasture is meeting its productivity target and when it will reach the optimal harvest point.
4. Annual Growth Rate
An additional chart reflects the evolution of the pasture’s growth rate throughout the year.
This allows detecting seasonal patterns and analyzing the effects of climate, fertilization, or management.
5. Operational Information
Management data for the pasture is displayed:
- Last grazing and last exit
- Last silage, irrigation, or fertilization (depending on use)
- Pasture duration in days
- Associated costs (seeding, maintenance, production)
- Cost per Kg of DM produced
- Expected milk yield associated (Kg/L)
6. Recorded Events
A chronological list of main events, such as:
- Grazings
- Forage measurements
- Fertilizations
- Irrigations
- Seedings
- Pasture creation
This provides a complete historical record of management activities.
7. Grazing/Cutting Section
Includes more detailed information on the pasture’s last and upcoming use:
- Date of last and next grazing/cutting
- Forage measurement (Kg DM/ha)
- Grass height at entry and exit
- Expected vs. achieved productivity target
- Applied stocking rate (LU/ha)
- Average residual height (cm)
With this information, the user can verify utilization efficiency and plan upcoming movements.
✅ Important Note: The Pasture Sheet is automatically populated from records entered in forage measurements, grazings, fertilizations, seedings, and other events, ensuring a historical, productive, and economic record for each area of the farm.
