User Guide – Individual Milk Production Recording
The Individual Production module allows entering daily data for each milking cow, including milk production and quality components. This facilitates detailed monitoring of each animal and generates technical reports for decision-making.
Overview
- By default, the screen loads today’s date and displays the animals currently in production.
- If you want to record information for a previous day, first select the date, and the system will automatically load the animals that were being milked on that day.
The table displays:
- Animal ID and name
- Fields to enter:
- Milk Production (kg)
- Fat (%)
- Protein (%)
- Somatic Cell Count (SCC)
- Bacterial Cell Count (BC)
Data Entry
- Select the date (if different from today).
- Enter the values for:
- Milk (kg): daily production measured per animal.
- Fat (%): percentage of fat in the sample.
- Protein (%): percentage of protein in the sample.
- SCC: somatic cell count, indicator of udder health.
- BC: bacterial count, indicator of hygiene and milk quality.
- If the results come from an official laboratory or milk control, check the Official Record box.
- Click Register to save the information.
Viewing Results
- The data is saved in each animal’s individual record, within its production history.
- It is also integrated into production reports, allowing:
- Tracking lactation curves.
- Milk quality analysis.
- Comparison with herd averages and technical parameters.
Recommendations
- Maintaining a daily record ensures greater accuracy in lactation curves.
- Ensure SCC and BC data is entered only when laboratory analysis or milk control is available.
- In case of inconsistencies, you can edit the record in the animal’s individual file.
