User Guide – Feeding
The Feeding module in IdeasFarm allows you to record and manage the rations delivered to the herd in an organized way. With this tool, you can track supplied feed, assigned quantities, associated costs, and the animals or groups receiving the rations.
What is recorded in Feeding?
- Date of ration supply.
- Group or animals receiving the feed.
- Product or feed provided.
- Type of supplement (forage, concentrate, milk, mineral salts, supplements, etc.).
- Unit of measure (kg, g, L, ml, etc.).
- Ration assignment (per head or total for the group).
- Quantity administered.
- Number of days the ration will last.
All this information is stored for later analysis of:
- Total feed consumption.
- Total and per-animal costs.
- Individual and group feeding history.
Recording Flow
- Select Date: define the day the ration is delivered.
- Choose Group or Animals: you can work with entire groups or select specific animals.
- Specify Feed and Type: choose the product from the list or register it, and classify it by supplement type.
- Define Unit and Assignment: set how the feed will be measured and whether the quantity is per head or total.
- Enter Quantity and Days: record the corresponding dose and the number of days it will last.
- Confirm Registration: save the information so it is available in reports and animal records.
Recording Results
- A report of total feed consumption and cost is generated.
- Each animal has an individual record of the dose received and its associated cost.
- You can review the feeding history by group or by animal, facilitating technical and economic control.
