User Guide – Deworming Records
The Deworming module allows applying and recording antiparasitic protocols defined on the farm, ensuring animal health control and compliance with the preventive schedule.
Overview
- The initial screen displays an empty table until an animal group is selected.
- From the Filter button, you can choose:
- Group: batch of animals to receive the deworming treatment (e.g., heifers, lactating cows, calves, etc.).
- Date: day the application is performed.
- Once selected, the page reloads showing the animals available for the protocol.
Data Entry
- Filter animals:
- Select the group in the filter.
- Enter the application date.
- The system will automatically load the corresponding animals.
- Select protocol:
- Choose one of the deworming protocols previously registered in the system.
- These protocols include: product, dosage, route of administration, and frequency.
- Application:
- Mark the animals that received the treatment.
- Ensure sufficient stock is available before confirming.
- Register:
- Click the Register button to save the application in each animal’s history.
Viewing Results
- Recorded information appears in:
- Individual animal record, under the health section.
- Health reports, where protocol compliance can be reviewed.
- Alerts, which help remind upcoming treatments according to the scheduled frequency.
Recommendations
- Follow a health schedule according to the animal’s age and category (e.g., more frequent deworming for calves and young animals).
- Always record the application on the same day it is performed to maintain traceability.
- Check that the applied doses correspond to the animal’s live weight.
- Keep the antiparasitic product inventory updated to avoid shortages at the time of application.
