User Guide – Health
The Health section allows you to record, consult, and track the animal's medical history.
It is divided into two main tabs:
- Health → Diagnoses, treatments, and animal culling.
- Mastitis → Specific mastitis evaluations (CAD, CAI, CPD, CPI, CSS).
Main View
The table displays existing health records with the following information:
- Diagnosis date
- Update date
- Animal age at the event
- Diagnosed disease
- Recorded diagnosis
- Initial status and current status
- Total treatment cost
Available actions for each record:
- Edit → Modify the diagnosis record.
- Delete → Permanently remove the record.
- Checklist → Opens the dose frequency window showing applied treatments (if scheduled).
“New” Button
From here you can create records for:
New Diagnosis
Form to enter a health diagnosis.
Main fields:
- Diagnosis date
- Health status (Healthy, Mild illness, Severe illness, Chronic, Terminal, etc.)
- Disease (selected from the list configured in protocols)
- Diagnosis (free text for veterinarian notes)
- Observations
💡 Tip: Keep the disease and status updated for better reporting and follow-up.
New Treatment
You can register scheduled treatments (pre-configured protocols in IdeasFarm) or specific treatments.
Scheduled Treatment
- Select a previously configured health protocol.
- Medications and doses are automatically completed.
Specific Treatment
- Allows manual entry of:
- Disease
- Diagnosis
- Product or drug (from stock, with option for New Product or Add Stock if not available)
- Unit, route of administration, dose, and number of doses
- Option to mark if milk/meat withdrawal applies, specifying the corresponding days.
🔹 Scheduled treatments will appear in the checklist with their doses for monitoring frequency.
Animal Culling
If the animal must leave the farm for health or productivity reasons, a culling can be recorded:
- Culling date
- Reason for culling (low production, reproduction, health, genetic anomaly, poor development, age).
Checklist – Dose Frequency
Clicking the checklist icon for a diagnosis opens a window showing treatments applied for that diagnosis, including details of:
- Application date
- Disease
- Diagnosis
- Initial and current status
- Applied treatment
- Dose, route of administration, and total cost
If the treatment was scheduled, pending or completed doses will be displayed here.
Mastitis Tab
Allows specific mastitis monitoring using the following indicators:
- CAD – Right front quarter
- CAI – Left front quarter
- CPD – Right rear quarter
- CPI – Left rear quarter
- CSS – Somatic cell count

- Diagnose diseases.
- Associate and monitor treatments (scheduled or specific).
- Evaluate mastitis using technical indicators.
- Track treatment history via the checklist.
- Record culling with reason and date.
