User Guide – Animal Transfers

The Transfers module allows moving animals from one farm to another without generating a sales cost. It is useful for producers who own multiple farms under the same owner or in cases where animals need to be exchanged for internal management purposes.

Unlike purchases or sales, transfers do not record a monetary value, but they ensure complete traceability of the animal thanks to the unique UUID that IdeasFarm automatically assigns at creation.

How it Works

1. Farm Identification:
   • Each farm registered in IdeasFarm has a unique ID, always visible in the platform's top bar.
   • This ID must be entered to indicate the destination farm.
2. Selection of the Animal to Transfer:
   • Choose the animal to be transferred from the list available in the source farm.
   • The system maintains the animal's complete history, even when it changes farms.
3. Transfer Confirmation:
   • Once the destination farm and animal are selected, confirm the action.
   • The animal immediately becomes part of the new farm's inventory.

• Guaranteed traceability: each animal retains its UUID, ensuring continuity in all its records.
• Multi-farm management: facilitates organizing animals across different properties of the same owner.
• No associated costs: the operation does not imply a sale value, distinguishing it from commercial transactions.
• Centralized history: movements are recorded under Livestock Movements > Transfers, allowing consultation of origin, destination, and date of each transfer.

• To move animals between your own farms.
• In programs for rotating heifers or breeding animals without sale value.
• To reorganize lots or inventories across different properties under the same user.
